Watch our new video for the First Assembly!

The First Assembly will be an important moment in time for people with disabilities in Ireland.  We’re very happy here at Áiseanna Tacaíochta (ÁT) to share our new promotional video for the day!

Join us in the International Arena, Athlone on Saturday, 13th June to shine a light on human rights and disability, to celebrate our strength, and to create a new drive for change!

Let’s take the first step in a new, equal and inclusive future together and build our voice as a disability community.  We’ll hear insight from human rights advocates and personal experiences from people with disabilities, as we explore our rights and uncover new ways of acting on them into the future.

Everyone is invited !  People with disabilities, their families, friends and communities, non-disabled people, civil society groups, equality and human rights activists, community and voluntary representatives; anyone you can think of, we’d love to see them there!

This is our opportunity to create a new energy and to be courageous in how we plan for our future.  We want that future to be an equal one, where people with disabilities in Ireland and their families live independent, empowered and fully included lives.

It’s easy to join in.  Tickets are free: just click here or use the form at the bottom of this page to register your free place.

All we ask is that you bring your energy, your voice, and your ideas.  Bring your strength, your capacity and your resilience.  But, most importantly, just bring yourself…

See you at the First Assembly in the International Arena, Athlone on Saturday, 13th June.

Thanks to Aaron Leonard for his work on filming and editing this video, and to the Olive Café in Fumbally Square, Dublin 8, for allowing us to use their lovely venue!
